The 2017 E300 is the first car in a few years with a different Homelink system. Here is what worked for me.
Step One: Hold one of the buttons on the bottom of the Mirror (1,2, or 3). Light flashes.
Step Two: At the same time, hold The Button You Want to Program on the remote. Light flashes quickly.
Now your mirror is programmed but you must teach the garage about it. (Love this guy!)
Step Four: Press and then release the button on the mirror that you programmed (1, 2, or 3). It might work! If not, press and release again. My garage works on the third try.
You did it! Nice work!

There are lots of ways to buy a new Mercedes-Benz and one of my favorites is custom ordering! In 60-120 days you can have the car of your dreams.
People often ask if there is an extra charge. There is NO Charge to custom order your new Mercedes-Benz!
There are lots of ways to order.
Possibility One: Use the Build Your Own section at MBUSA.com and then e-mail it to your salesperson. They can order the car just like you want it and keep you informed as it progresses.
Possibility Two: Go to the dealership, like something there and figure out what changes you would make to LOVE it! Maybe there is a designo interior that speaks to your heart. Perhaps you’ve been waiting for CarPlay or another technology to arrive. There are lots of little tweaks that can make a vehicle special.
Possibility Three: Be First! You can order a car that has not yet been released. Right now we are ordering C-Coupes, S-Class cabriolets, and 2017 E-Classes. I know you haven’t seen the car in person yet, but you know you’re going to love it. Why not order early and have your perfect vehicle arrive when it is first released for sale?
So, you don’t have to settle for what is at the dealership. I would be happy to custom order the Mercedes-Benz of your dreams!
I went, I saw, I was impressed!
A client called to say that his Drive Dynamic Multi Contour Seats only worked sometimes. The drivers’ seat would work for a while, the passenger seat would work for a while but neither would work consistently.
After a little fiddling and some road testing I figured out that when the side bolsters were manually inflated over level 6 it prevented the bolsters from inflating around corners! Interesting!
I fixed it!
Today is the One Year Anniversary of when I got my new car! I generally lease for 36 months with 12,000 miles a year. As you can see, I am a little over on my miles. People frequently ask me what to do when they are over miles so I am going to use myself as an example.
Step 1: Evaluate
I am currently over by 1260 miles. at $.25/mile that is $315. If I continued at this rate I would owe $945 in over mileage charges when I turned in the lease on November 1, 2017. I have several options available to me and there is no reason to panic!
By the way, I did the 12,000 mile per year lease knowing that I would likely go over. I looked at the 15,000 mile lease as well but it was $30 more per month and I knew I wouldn’t be that high so I opted for the lower payment and possible over miles charges.

With these options in mind there is no reason to worry about going over miles in the lease. As long as you knew the plan going into the lease, and set it up properly, you do not need to restrict your miles or worry! I consider leasing an easy way to get a new car every 2-3 years with no surprises.

So, it is the fourth quarter and you have been meaning to do something about your car all year. Come by the dealership! This is the perfect time to get to work! Here is what you should be looking into before the end of 2015!
The GLE Coupe has arrived! This sporty SUV has been getting tons of attention. I wasn’t 100% sure I was going to like it but now I love it! Every time I flip the Dynamic Select to Sport+ I cannot suppress a smile! It has a surprising amount of space on the inside and an unbeatable look on the outside! Inventory has grown and you still have time order before the end of the year.
The all-new GLC is arriving in November. This model will replace the outgoing GLK and I predict a huge success! They styling will appeal to a larger audience and it has grown a few inches. The interior is going to be leaps and bound more luxurious! With a base price under $40,000 I think this will be hottest SUV on the market!
The C450 AMG Sport now available! This AMG tuned version of the C-Class has all of the noise and fun you want from an AMG with a more mainstream price tag. I have a comparison driving event to attend next week vs. the C63 AMG and I can’t wait to try them back to back!
Deals to Be Had
I know some of you are looking for the best deal, not the latest and greatest car. There are definitely a few models you should be considering.
With the arrival of the 2016 GLE-Class we are just about out of MLs. However, there are a couple left that are looking for a good home! Also, the 2017 E-Class is just around the corner and we have lots of 2016s.
There is still a great selection of 2015 S-Class vehicles from which to choose. I’ll even let you be picky about colors and options. The only reason to spend more for the 2016 is if you are really excited about the remote start feature that comes with the mbrace Connect for 2016. (I am!)
Certified Pre-Owned cars are always a great value! I hear that our first 2015 C-Class will be through certification next week. We also have new body style GL diesels! That never happens! You can see all of the CPO inventory on our website. Combine that with special interest rates from Mercedes-Benz Financial and you might be able to fit more Mercedes in your budget!
The CLA and GLA are always the most affordable of the Mercedes-Benz models. With base prices just over $30,000 these cars fit in almost any budget! I have so many happy owners in these cars. You really should check them out before you settle for something boring.
The Metris is Pre-Production no longer! We have our first models in stock. The Metris is about the same size as the GL-Class and can come as a cargo or passenger van. Again, starting at under $30,000 for a cargo van this would be a great addition to your commercial fleet (and a great write off before the end of the year!). Come take it for a spin and let me tell you how it will save you tons of money over traditional cargo vans!
So, there you have it! A Mercedes-Benz shopping list for the fourth quarter, 2015. Don’t wait until the last minute! I cannot overnight you a car to arrive on Christmas Eve. This isn’t like buying a gift for the kids!

When you are looking for a place for dinner you look at reviews online. When you are looking for a salon you ask friends for referrals. A car is an expensive thing to buy…why leave it to chance by walking in the door of a dealership without knowing what you’ll get?
Do you know what dealership you’re going to visit?
If you know what dealership you want to visit, check out their website. There should be an “about us” or “meet our staff” section. Look for a friendly face, someone with common interests, someone who has been there a while or whatever makes you feel comfortable. Here is my profile from AtlantaClassicCars.com. I look friendly, right?
Or, check our DealerRater.com. You can look at all of the dealerships around town and see reviews for the whole place as well as specific salespeople. Look for features that matter to you. Do you want efficient? A family atmosphere? Quick responses? Attention after the sale? Here is one of my recent reviews:

You know someone that drives the brand you are interested in purchasing. They should be able to recommend their salesperson or someone at the dealership who can steer you towards a good salesperson.
Post it on Facebook! If you mention that you are car shopping you are bound to get opinions. My customers can share my page on Facebook for easy referrals! I send presents when you send customers!
Ask Your Service Advisor!
Many of my new owners come through the service department. They have had a Mercedes for years, feel comfortable with their advisor and ask for a recommendation when the time comes for their next car. Service Advisors and Salespeople often work closely together everyday and your advisor can match you with someone you would like.
Now Call or E-mail the Salesperson!
You’ve found a friendly face and are ready to go shopping. Call ahead! If the salesperson knows you are coming they can clear their schedule, pull up a car you would like to see and be ready. If I know you read my reviews online and specifically want to work with me I am going to work even harder to make sure you have an excellent experience!
