Here it comes! Our 2008 SLR Cabriolet has been built at the McLaren factory in England and is awaiting transport to the US. We expect it to arrive in December. If you have been looking for the perfect gift for someone who has everything (and a budget of $513,100) then this is the supercar for you!
This vehicle is Crystal Laurite Silver with the special Silver Arrow Red Leather Interior. It has the XL large seats, Red Brake Calipers and the Black top. It should be stunning!
The SLR is currently not spoken for…Is it speaking to you?
Wow! That was a whirlwind!
I drove my 2008 ML320 CDI demo to Pennsylvania and New York to visit friends and family for a few days last week. I put just over 2000 miles on the ML in 5 days and it performed like a champ! Average fuel economy was 25 mpg at 75 mph and an astonishing 28 mpg at 65 mph! I got about 600 miles per tank!
It can hold a lot too. It’s amazing how much two people can pack for 5 days! And we’ll pack up to do it again for Christmas in 3 weeks!
“Handling is way more than good. It’s precise. In fact, this big car drives a lot smaller and lighter than its specs would indicate. You can actually toss it around, hit apexes and carve up traffic, thanks in no small part to the unbelievable torque that is fully available in a flat line from 2,000 all the way up to 4,000 rpm.”

“We averaged 24 mpg over a 160-mile mix of city and highway roads, and even with frequent excursions to the 4600-rpm redline it seemed hard to ever dip below 20 mpg”

Mercedes-Benz USA sponsored a competition this fall for salespeople to present the new 2008 C-Class. The goal was to increase product knowledge while tailoring a 10 minute walk-around presentation to the interests of a specific client.
I was selected by my peers to represent Atlanta Classic Cars at the Market Level in September and was chosen by our Market Manager as the winner! Then, in November, I flew to Jacksonville to compete against the other 8 Market winners for the title of Grand Champion of the Southern Region. I won! It was quite an honor to present to all of the Market Managers and fellow competitors.
If you have any questions about the new C-Class this would be a great time to ask…I could talk your ear off!
Atlanta Classic Cars was nice enough to send the 6 winning sales consultants and a guest to the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas for 4 days and 3 nights. We had a great time lounging by the pool and eating at all of the wonderful restaurants.
The highlight was eating at Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill on the last night with Kevin Coster at the table next to us! It was like being famous!
“Our lead feet averaged 34 mpg on our trip, which included some city driving, and we were able to make the entire 650-mile journey on one tank.”
“The quiet and smooth Benz diesel got 31 mpg on my commute, an impressive number I’ve never achieved in a hybrid. “
