The refreshed 2013 GLK-Class is in production now with the 2013 GLK350 2 and 4 wheel drive scheduled to arrive July/August and the all-new GLK250 Bluetec arriving in December. The 2012 Mercedes-Benz E350 Coupe 4matic has been built and is heading for American shores! The anticipated release date is currently mid to late April. The base price for the model will be  $52,300 and equipment will be the same as the two wheel drive version.

The E350 Coupe was named a “Top Safety Pick” by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the availability of 4MATIC – with all its safety and performance virtues – will only add to the appeal of this beautiful model.

Mercedes-Benz powered F1 cars are off to a good start this year with McLaren-Mercedes coming in 1st and 3rd at the Austrailian Grand Prix, Force India Mercedes scoring a point, and Mercedes AMG showing promise despite some off-roading by Schumi! On to Malaysia!

Mercedes-Benz USA has a new CEO this year and he just joined Twitter! If anyone can get away with telling us Mercedes-Benz secrets and inside scoops, he can! I know I’ll be following his account! His recent interview with AdAge was also very good for getting some background information on our new leader!

Mercedes-Benz has published official pictures of the 2013 GLK-Class refesh in the Future Models section of MBUSA.com. As with most Mercedes-Benz refreshes, we’ll be getting new lights, bumpers and an upgrade to the interior and technology. The specifications for the 2013 GLK250 diesel have not yet been released but it does show up in my order banks as arriving in late 2012!

I had a training class this week and it was mentioned that 56% of people name their vehicles! I know The Duchess is a lovely silver C230 and Lizzie the Wagon is an E350 station wagon but those were the only two of my clients I could come up with that had named their cars.

Since Mercedes-Benz was originally named after the lovely Mercedes Jellinek it seems fitting that they all get personal names!
