Sometimes new vehicles have surprises in store for us! This 2015 GLA45 AMG has the world’s most powerful 4-cylinder and the new owner proclaimed it “cute as a bug.” Unfortunately, we realized the Summer Tires it was equipped with from the factory were not going to be adequate for their winter driving needs.
Here is the solution! From 20″ matte black wheels for the summer…
To 19″ Silver and Grey Wheels with All-Season Tires for the winter!
We could not find a set of all season tires to mount to the 20″ wheels so we went another route. We found a good looking set of 19″ Mercedes-Benz wheels and mounted an all season 19″ MOE tire to that set. Then we simply exchanged them! The 20″ black wheels are bagged up and ready to make their appearance in the spring! Very European, right?
Speaking of the old wheels…I was shocked to find out they easily fit in the back of the GLA45 with room to spare! Impressive!
Here is a close-up of the 19″ wheel we selected. It still shows off those amazing brakes and red calipers and now the car has two looks! Not a bad idea!
