Last September I was lucky enough to attend the AMG Product Expert Training in Alabama. The focus of the training was on the upcoming SL models with their complete redesign from Mercedes-AMG. We got to drive the vehicles both on the track and on the streets along side competitor vehicles. It was incredibly informative. 

The all-new 2022 SL is scheduled to arrive in the US “mid-2022” and the order banks are open. I thought this would be a good time to republish the videos I took during training. The cars have had their official press debuts and there are a lot of excellent, professional videos and reviews out there. I though there might still be some people who would enjoy my quick take and first impressions from training. 

We will be getting two different V8s: The SL55 and the SL63. Both are are 2+2 seating with a soft top. The differences will come down to power and options. The SL55 is more of a street driver and the SL63 is a track optional kind of car. In this first video I have not yet learned to tell them apart so see if you can spot which one is which!

So, if you are excited about this new vehicle it would be a good idea to get one ordered now. With limited production and high demand, it is unlikely you’ll see any available at launch!
