My Pre-Owned manager just gave us a list of cars that need to be sold quickly. He has lowered the prices to be the lowest in the area for comparable vehicles. Please call or e-mail if you would like all of the details on any of these vehicles or would like to set up a time to come by.
The Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Warranty adds an additional year of coverage up to 100,000 miles. It also tells you that the car has been through an extensive reconditioning process. I can show you the repair order for what we have done to certify each vehicle. You will be impressed!
The 2010 GLK350 should be here in January. Here is a great overview from MotorWeek.
“The C63 is an absolute torque monster, which makes it more fun to drive at low speeds.”
“The COMAND system is light years ahead of the old iDrive system. The system smartly uses the instrument-cluster LCD for things like navigation prompts, so it’s easier to use while in motion.”
“With the money you’ll save by purchasing the C63, you’ll be able to buy new tires after you burn through the first set doing doughnuts in the parking lot.”
In the end…
“We are bracing ourselves for the howls of BMW fans. Hey, we like Bimmers, too, but all things taken into account, the C63 won out. In most rounds, the C63 scraped by the M3 just a little, gaining precious ground for cabin tech features, exterior looks, and price. For all-around performance, the cars tied–the C63 boosted by its bigger engine, the M3 helped by its DCT. After BMW updates its cabin tech and electronics interface next year, the M3 will probably fare better in a rematch.”

Mercedes-Benz has sent us a 2009 ML320 BlueTEC and a 2009 GL320 BlueTEC to test drive for the next month. You might notice them on the road with their…distinctive wrapping. I went for a spin in the GL320 BlueTEC yesterday. I wanted to see how the 20″ run-flat tires impacted the ride quality. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the ride was as comfortable as it has ever been. I think Mercedes took great care to compensate for the run-flats with the suspension set up. Also, the 20″ size is not too big. It almost feels more suited to the size of the GL that the 18″ wheels did.
You can learn more at the Mercedes BlueTEC site or come in and see for yourself!
I’ve always told people that once you buy a Mercedes you’ll have trouble driving anything else! These loyalty numbers for the 2nd Quarter of 2008 were just released.
This means that more than 51% of Mercedes owners who purchased or leased a new vehicle chose another Mercedes! This information comes from reported vehicle registrations.
For Model Year 2009 Mercedes-Benz has announced the CLK Grand Edition for both the Coupe and Cabriolet. We have seen Grand Editions in the last year of a body style before as a way for Mercedes to raise the value of the outgoing model. With unique color combinations and options, the Grand Edition is usually a stunning vehicle at a very attractive price. Each dealership will only be allocated one of these vehicles automatically and must qualify to receive more. Please do let me know if you are interested.
The CLK Grand Edition is equipped with a unique interior including:
The Premium 1 Package (P01), DVD Navigation (530), and Bluetooth Hands Free Communication Kit (050) are included to provide the most popular options including SIRIUS satellite radio and iPod integration.
While all CLK Grand Editions incorporate the above equipment, the Coupe and Cabriolet are distinguished from each other:
CLK350 Grand Edition Coupe:
CLK350 Grand Edition Cabriolet:
If you have a 2008 or 2009 S/CL-Class or a 2009 SL/SLK/E/CLS/M/R/GL-Class with a Command head unit your software update should be available mid-October.
If you have a 2008 E/CLS/SLK-Class with a Command head unit the software update is currently being tested and they are hoping to have it available by the beginning of November.
All other 2008 and 2009 vehicles should receive “The Best of XM” without a software update.
I’m working on getting some posts up of the photos I took while on the Mercedes Master Guild trip to Germany last week.
