Mercedes-Benz just sent us a new accessory to try out – the Convenience Box for the 2011 E-Class. I installed this one myself in a 2011 E350 with split folding rear seats. This would do a great job of containing groceries or other bags so they don’t roll around in the cavernous trunk when driving! Ask you local parts department to order one for you! Part number is 212-680-00-10-9051. MSRP is $400.
“The engine simply has power everywhere, all the time. There is no lag and there are no flat spots in the torque curve, just immediate acceleration all the time.”
“Shifts are fast and seamless, and even the most jaded clutch jockey would hard-pressed to find fault in how it operates as an automatic.”
“The front and rear bumpers are modeled after the SLS AMG supercar and add a menacing look.”
From Edmunds Inside Line:
“Any drivetrain setting besides C results in a well-intended evil itch to lurch forth like a giant eel grabbing a passing fish. “Yeah,” says engineer Eichler. “We wanted it to be a little more bad boy this time.”
“Dynamics are hugely improved via the new suspension and its custom settings and the Speedshift MCT transmission weighs less and can handle more torque, too. Fuel mileage is way up, and the passenger cabin remains a comfortable place for four adults.”
A friend at Mercedes-Benz USA shared these images of some designo vehicles that were on display at the LA Auto Show in 2010. The designo program has grown in recent years to include more vehicles, more colors and more combinations. For owners that are ready to branch out from the traditional…designo is Mercedes-Benz quality with a dramatic twist. There are not a lot of these custom vehicles on the road, so any chance to see them on a vehicle is a treat.

Mercedes-Benz has posted information about the 2012 SLK-Class to the website! There are exterior and interior photos as well as a list of some of the features. You can see a lot of the SL-Class is this SLK-Class!
The order banks should open in the next few weeks…until then there are great lease and finance specials on the remaining 2011 SLK-Classes!
For those of you who might be thinking about about a new vehicle this week, might I suggest one of the excellent 4Matic vehicles from Mercedes-Benz? Available in sedans and SUVs, they’ll get you though the snow!
The Mercedes-Benz Roadside Assistance Program has always been a wonderful convenience for our owners. Introduced in 1982 to the US market, this program has grown to handle more than 900,000 roadside calls every year! By using Mercedes-Benz vehicles, employees and parts to respond to these calls Mercedes-Benz is providing industry leading quality!
There have always been 3 Sign and Drive services:
Additional Roadside Services include:
These services are complimentary to our owners by dialing 1 800 FOR MERC, or using the mbrace or tele-aid systems.
If you purchased your Mercedes-Benz vehicle before 1/4/11 the program will stay if effect, the same as it has always been, for the current owner.
Under the new program, these services are unchanged during the warranty period. Additionally, towing will be complimentary for all eligible customers both in and out of warranty for both service and collision needs. To accommodate these enhancements Mercedes-Benz has added in eligibility requirements once you are out of the warranty period.
We’ll always be there to help when you need it. If you meet the eligibility requirements, the service will be complimentary. If you don’t, then you can simply pay for the services provided. The goal is to be better able to service all Mercedes-Benz owners for years to come!
I hope that this holiday season has been a wonderful start to your 2011!
