The Mercedes-Benz International website is a great place to spend an afternoon!
They recently did a feature on AMG engine builder Michael Kubler, who I’ve always followed on Instagram.
On my most recent European Delivery adventure I picked up a 2015 Mercedes-Benz S550 coupe. This vehicle is just one of a handful of vehicles (AMG and S-Class) that qualifies for a special Center of Excellence Delivery experience! The CoE is in the same building as the standard pick-up but offers a few extras…
First, your new car is unveiled to you by your personal guide in a secluded section of the building! This guide will spend as much time as you would like going over the features of the vehicle and helping you prepare for your trip. He helped us enter several navigation destinations, arrange the luggage and then personally pulled the vehicle outside for departure!
Second, amazing food! The Center of Excellence service a gorgeous four course lunch in one of the showrooms while you take in the beauty of the surrounding vehicles. There were several other couples and families taking delivery at the same time but it felt like we had the place to ourselves. They were also able to quickly provide a vegetarian option even though it was not on the menu.
Finally, because it is in the same building as the standard deliveries you can still take pictures with the giant star, take the factory tour and shop in the gift shop. It is special, but not entirely separate from the standard experience.
When arranging your European Delivery of an AMG or S-Class your salesperson must make a special request for the Center of Excellence. There are a limited number available each day so requesting early is important.
I can personally handle your European Delivery experience wherever you live in the country. Call me!

Did you know that Atlanta Classic Cars has the only Mercedes-Benz Authorized Collision Center in Georgia? We fix all kinds of damage…
Are you a member of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America? I have a great reason for you to join! You could win a Mercedes AMG GT S! There are lots of other reasons but let’s focus on the amazing raffle price for 2015!
Once you are a member of the MBCA you simply log into the website and buy as many $50 tickets as you want! I bought two. I’m feeling exceptionally lucky. Then, when I win, I simply contact the dealer of my choice (me) and place my order!
If you happen to win instead of me, you can order your AMG GT S from me and we both kind of win!
If you decide to join the Club use my reference number and I get a free month of membership. C119523
I have had a few questions about this vehicle recently. It is currently a concept car and is not scheduled to be produced. The concepts and technologies are being tested and shown as a demonstration of what could be…down the line. It looks like the future is a little early!
This rolling artwork is just beyond!
I am a wagon fan. Always have been. We had numerous Volvo wagons when I was a kid – always called The Brick – and the classic E-Class wagons – called the Cool Bus. There is something special about having a row of seats to yourself.
It turns out I am not the only fan! US sales of the E350 wagon have been increasing! As a nod to this small group of wagon enthusiasts, Automobile Magazine has recently published quite a few articles about the E350 wagon, the E63 AMG wagon and the non-US CLS-Class Shooting Brake. All of these articles were written by the same author, Marc Nordeloos.
“The brilliance of the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake is that it offers nearly all of the comfort of the Audi while being far more special to drive quickly.”
“It’s important to remember that the CLS Shooting Brake is a four-door “coupe wagon” and not a traditional station wagon. Still, if cargo capacity is not one of your top priorities, the lovely design will far outweigh any of these complaints.”
“There is something special and unique about an E-Class Estate. Customers recognize this, and it draws them to this product.”
“We have loyal customers who really appreciate the cargo capacity and the driving dynamics over an SUV. I think there is definitely a niche that would warrant future variants.“
“When you’re done being a rally star in your near-600 hp station wagon, slip the transmission back into Comfort mode, set the suspension to the softest setting, and click both the heated and massaging seat buttons. You’ll be hard pressed to beat the comfort in an S-Class. Add a set of rubber winter mats, and it’s as if the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG wagon was destined to effortlessly plug through winter.”
“Of all the cars on the list, this is the one I actually do own.”
“There’s just something about a Mercedes that impresses when you live with it. You don’t fully appreciate this during a brief test drive. I love the fact that there are three rows of seating, allowing car-pooling without resorting to an SUV. Plus, who doesn’t love a rear-facing third row seat?”
That’s it! The Rear Facing third row. I’ve obviously outgrown it but I have such fond memories of sitting back there getting big rigs to honk, making faces at other kids and road-tripping like a queen ensconced in a carriage!
So, Marc and I are clearly huge wagon fans…how about you?
Have you decorated your car this year? Wreaths? Bows? Trees? Lights? I would love to see it! Send me a picture via e-mail or tag me on Instagram. Nothing brightens my day like an owner that loves their car!

I am an avid SiriusXM listener. The only time I listen to terrestrial radio is when I am driving through the car wash!
If you have a loved one with a Mercedes-Benz newer than 2003 it is very likely they have Sirius installed in their automobile. I think a subscription would be a great gift!
All you need is the ESN of the car to call Sirius and set it up. The ESN can be found under Radio < Sirius < Info or some similar combination of words. It is always in the Sirius screen < bottom left < bottom menu < number appears.
You can visit SiriusXM online to get more information or set up the service!
