Does the automotive press like the new Mercedes-AMG GT S? Ummm, yeah.
“It’s one of the best-handling cars I’ve ever driven. Certainly the best in the big, powerful bruiser category. Completely hooked up, without understeer. The car comes right into a corner, but the tail doesn’t come around. It’s just beautifully balanced all the time.”
“This thing is basically just the greatest car there is,” Lieberman said. “Too hyperbolic? Well, it’s certainly not as well-mannered as the Turbo S. And that’s a good thing. Philosophically speaking, a little bit of attitude, a bit of misbehaving, that’s kind of what we all prefer, right?”
“If you want thrills and excitement and entertainment, the GT S is your car. It does everything the 911 does but with just enough hints of danger to get your blood pumping. “It’ll kill momentum, jink, stick, and rocket away from bends like a Le Mans racer,” Martinez said. “If the GT S is indicative of a new era in AMG history, all others had better watch out.”
“Are you still grinning like an idiot three days later? If yes, well, special. Is the 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S a special car? I’ll save you the suspense. Double hell yes it is!”
“But you don’t buy the AMG GT S for the numbers. You buy it because it eats up a road like nobody’s business.”
“I’ll end this one by stating the obvious. I’m totally smitten with the Mercedes-AMG GT S. It’s special. It checks all the boxes. It’s beautiful, it’s luxurious, and it runs down canyon roads like an axe murder on a parkour course, devouring everything in its path.”
I have often used the Active Park Assist to pull into parallel spots but I have not used the system to back into a spot before. Now I have! Please share and subscribe to my new YouTube channel!
Mercedes-Benz superfan Ben Wayne created another great video featuring our 2015 SL550! Do you love it? It is for sale!
I had a question about this system from a customer today so I thought I would share this excellent video with everyone. Based on the number of G-Wagens in their illustration this is a very nice neighborhood!
In the rest of the world Mercedes-Benz trucks are ubiquitous. The Sprinter, Actros, and Viano are everywhere, hauling everything! As a fuel efficient, durable and endlessly modifiable cargo hauler the Sprinter has begun to make inroads in the US. Now, the latest truck from Mercedes-Benz USA is about to arrive!
This “right size” van is about to storm the market. No more ugly, old-fashioned cargo vans that lack comfort, safely and style. “A well-designed commercial van does more than get you from point A to B. With a ruggedly refined design that is just the right size, intelligently constructed features including best-in-class turning radius, passenger-like comfort and Crosswind Assist standard, the new Metris Van is built to propel your business forward.”
I can accept orders now with delivery expected in the fall.
It was almost hard to watch this video. The non-F1 pit stops seem comically slow!
I just posted this new video to my YouTube Channel! Search for BenzBlogger to find my other videos!
I am often asked when we will have “self-driving cars.” I say that we do! A Mercedes-Benz equipped with the Driver Assistance Package has just about all it needs to drive by itself. Yes, it still requires a little input from you but it can handle the hard stuff!
When I started with Mercedes-Benz in 2003 Distronic was a $3000 option that only worked at highway speed and could only keep you a set distance behind the car in front of you. Today the Driver Assistance Package costs just about the same and has a suite of features that sound like the future! Radar Adaptive cruise control that works to a complete stop, Steering Assist, Autonomous braking with Collision Prevention Assist and Cross Traffic Detection, and on and on!
Follow our friend and customer Ben on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube! Seach for Ben Wayne.
This C63 AMG is for sale and on the showroom floor!
Do you use HOLD braking in your Mercedes-Benz? I use it all the time. Constantly. And if I happen to be driving a car that doesn’t have it I feel exhausted by having to hold my foot on the brake pedal through a whole red light!
