It’s here! The all-new 2015 C63 AMG has arrived at Atlanta Classic Cars. This stunner is an Edition1 version with special exterior flourishes and red accented interior. It sounds as good as it looks! More C63 AMGs are expected later this month. Are you ready?
The interior features red carbon fiber and red diamond stitching.
Of course the engine is hand built by one of the world famous AMG engine builders in Affalterbach!
And just for a little comparison I parked it next to a C400 to see how much more aggressive it looked. 100% more aggressive!
Mercedes-Benz took home three trophies at the World Car Awards announced at the New York International Auto Show this week! “The World Car Awards (WCA) are more than just an awards program. The WCA’s judging panel is made up of 75 prominent automotive journalists from around the world that form a global community of experts. The jurors ensure the integrity and credibility of the awards but also serve as an important resource for the industry with a focus on excellence and innovation on a global scale.”
2015 World Car of the Year: Mercedes-Benz C-Class
2015 World Luxury Car: Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe
2015 World Performance Car: Mercedes AMG GT
“Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG, Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars said, “The C-Class is a best seller that has always been a trendsetter in the premium medium-size category. This is true for the new C-Class as well. It comes to the starting line with qualities usually reserved for higher-class automobiles – ecologically, technically and also with regard to comfort and driving pleasure. It embodies what we understand modern automotive luxury made by Mercedes-Benz to be and has all the prerequisites to be a huge success. Accordingly we are extremely delighted of winning the honour of WORLD CAR OF THE YEAR.”
The Garmin Map Pilot is currently available in several Mercedes-Benz models including the C-Class and CLS-Class. (Fun fact: The Garmin Map Pilot is standard on the CLS400 and the hard-drive system is in the Premium 2 Package.)
I have had a little hands-on experience with this system and find it to be very intuitive. Here is a new video from Mercedes-Benz How-To Videos page on how to use it.
Were you looking for a fun way to spend an hour? Here it is! I just downloaded a new app about the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class and it is magic! First, visit www.C-ClassTour.com and print the target sheet. Then download the app. I just searched for C-Class to find it. As you move your device over the page you can rotate the hologram! It is fascinating! Have fun!
I have compared the 2015 C300 to the 2014 C250. I have compared the 2015 C300 to the 2015 S550 and now, here is the 2015 C300 Sport trim vs the C300 Luxury Trim! (There is also a Sport Package available for the C300 that changes the look of the bumpers. I am sure I’ll get to that soon.)
The Build Your Own section and MBUSA.com is now live for the C300 and C400. This is a great tool for seeing what options are available, what features are in each package and how expensive you can make it! It’s easy to pare it back down but go ahead and see what your dream C-Class would look like!
I posted pictures of the 2015 C300 next to the 2014 C250 as a photo comparison and the most common comment was “Wow! Looks like and S-Class!” So, here are pictures of the 2015 C300 next to the 2015 S550! They aren’t twins but they are certainly in the same family!
What do you think? $100,000 worth of V8 luxury or two $50,000 sport sedans? Same price!
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300 4Matic arrived at the dealership yesterday! This is our demo model and will always be here for test drives. Of course, everyone says “what’s the difference?” So, here is a side-by side comparison for you visual people. I’ll expect to see the kinesthetic folks at the dealership soon for some hands on experience!
There you go! Just a few differences! Come take a look. They should be officially for sale by the end of the month!
The Mercedes-Benz C300 and C400 4Matics will arrive at US dealerships this month! They are currently receiving rave reviews from the automotive press.
“…the C-Class has transformed from a formidable German competitor in a fierce segment into a true juggernaut that makes a convincing bid for the company’s “The Best or Nothing” tagline.”
“This isn’t just best-in-class stuff – this is one of the nicest luxury car interiors you’re likely to find, full stop. It bests everything currently on offer in the entire Mercedes-Benz portfolio short of the S-Class, and offers a more premium, luxurious experience than a vast majority of more expensive offerings from German rivals.”
“A word about COMAND here: Not everyone will like the tablet-like floating mount of the seven-inch display (we’ve heard you readers grouse about similar installations in other cars), but we think it’s gorgeous, plus it packs excellent graphics and a really modern design.”
“…we’d go so far to say that the C has some of the crispest, most rewarding steering in the class. Anyone who came away disappointed by the electronic power-assisted helm in the BMW 3 Series would do well to try this setup.”
“It’s not just the best C-Class ever, it’s one of Stuttgart’s most fantastically conceived products yet.”
“Simply put, the new C300 and C400 are gorgeous cars from any angle.”
“In keeping with the new car’s status in the fleet, it’s grown 4 inches in total length, three of which are in the wheelbase and two of which go directly to rear legroom.”
“Domestic production helps Mercedes control costs, and if our experience with a long-term GL350 is any indicator, build quality should be outstanding.”
“Defining a target market is one thing; nailing the product is another challenge entirely, but Mercedes has done it. The C-class deserves to remain the brand’s best-selling sedan, and we predict it’ll do as much to attract new buyers as the CLA which came before.”
“Sibling rivalry isn’t always a good thing, but in the case of the C-Class, it’s done wonders.”
“The C-Class’ infotainment and touchpad interface are straight out of the larger S-Class. Ditto for its available AIRMATIC air suspension, adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.”
“Despite being down on power, we actually prefer the C300 to the C400. With a little less weight on its nose, the C300 feels quicker to respond to steering inputs. ”
